Chance of heavy rain in Kerala till December 15

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a bulletin predicting rain for Kerala. According to this, there is a possibility of rain in most areas of Kerala on 9th December and at many places on 10th and 11th December. Similarly, there is every possibility of rain or snowfall at one or two places on 13 to 15 December.

“A cyclonic circulation is spread over the south-east Arabian Sea and the area adjacent to Maldives and extends up to 5,8 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, it is possible that a low pressure area will form over the same area during the next 24 hours”, the IMD release said.

IMD has also issued orange and yellow alerts for some districts.
