Chandigarh: 38-year-old man arrested for trying to smoke in gurdwara

Chandigarh: A 38-year-old man from Nayagaon has been arrested for trying to smoke a cigarette inside a gurudwara on the PU campus. The incident took place on July 28 at around 7.45 pm. The complainant, Kashmir Singh, said Vinod Kumar entered the gurudwara and tried to smoke a cigarette, following which students intervened and threw him out.

It is alleged that the suspect later got into an argument over something and insisted on smoking a cigarette there. Later, PU security staff and police were informed about the incident, following which they reached the spot and apprehended the suspect. A case has been registered.
