Chandigarh: Immigration agent arrested
Chandigarh: The UT Police has arrested an immigration consultant for disobeying the orders of the District Magistrate. Pradeep Singh alias Satnam Singh was running Immigration Officer CP Overseas in Sector 34 without registration number and police verification. A case was registered and the accused was arrested. He was later released on bail.
Theft in house in Sector 43
Chandigarh: Sandeep Kumar of Sector 43 has lodged a report that gold and silver jewellery has been stolen from his house. A case has been registered at Sector 36 police station.
Youth arrested under Arms Act
Chandigarh: A 22-year-old youth has been arrested for threatening a person with a knife. Bilal, a resident of Dariya village, alleged that Sachin alias Munsi quarreled with him in Mani Majra and threatened him with a knife. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
