Chandrababu Naidu visited water logged areas in Bapatla

Bapatla: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday visited Yanadi Colony in Andhra Pradesh’s Bapatla town and met residents of the areas who are battling waterlogging even three days after Cyclone Michong.

He expressed deep concern over the problem of persistent waterlogging in some parts of Bapatla.
The TDP chief also highlighted the lack of proper facilities provided by the ruling government to the affected residents after the floods.

Recalling the proactive steps taken during the TDP regime, Naidu emphasized that 25 kg of rice and other essential groceries were immediately distributed to people affected by such disasters. However, he regretted the failure of the present state government to provide adequate assistance and relief to the flood affected population.

Expressing his commitment towards the development of Bapatla, Naidu compared the successful initiatives taken in Hyderabad during his tenure. He affirmed that, under the leadership of TDP, Bapatla will witness comprehensive development while ensuring the well-being of its residents.

As the TDP chief examines the situation, questions arise about the responsibility of the ruling government to meet the immediate needs of the affected people and prevent further crisis after the recent cyclone.
Earlier, accusing the Andhra Pradesh government of failing to take adequate precautionary measures for Cyclone Michong, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government in the state, like the BRS government in neighboring Telangana, Will lose the assembly elections.

“What happened in Telangana will be repeated in Andhra Pradesh after three months,” Chandrababu Naidu said here after visiting cyclone-hit areas in the district.

Naidu criticized the Andhra Pradesh government for its “failure to prevent damage caused by Cyclone Michong”.

Addressing the public in Tenali assembly constituency, Naidu said that farmers have suffered complete losses, while tenant farmers are facing dire conditions. He stressed that the purpose of his visit was to investigate the problems at the ground level and put pressure on the state government for justice.

Naidu said the damage caused by Cyclone Michong was greater than previous cyclones, emphasizing that crops ready for harvest were damaged. He claimed that when the government failed to provide irrigation water, farmers used their money to tanker water, but 90 per cent of crops were submerged in rain water.
