Chaos due to food poisoning, more than 100 people including the bride’s sister fall ill

Sambhal: More than 100 people including the bride’s sister fell ill due to food poisoning in a wedding procession in Azizpur village of Junabai police station area in Sambhal district. One by one people started vomiting and having diarrhea, and their condition deteriorated on the spot. Some of the people who fell victim to food poisoning were taken to the community health center. The wedding guests left in their vehicles. More than 50 patients are undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

The wedding procession of Preeti, daughter of Dharamveer, a resident of Azizpur village of the area, came from village Byora of Rajpura area on Saturday night. All the wedding guests and family members including the groom DP ate food at the feast. Late at night, one by one people started vomiting and having diarrhea. One by one more than 100 people fell victim to food poisoning. Some people have been admitted to the Community Health Center Junabai while more than 50 patients are being treated by private doctors. Community Health Center in-charge Dr. Virash Yadav said that 14 patients are being treated at the CHC. Everyone is in good condition.

14 patients including the bride’s sister Inglesh and the groom’s sister Tanya, Vishpal, Nathu, Urman, Bablu, Sonpal, Chandrakali, Sandhya are being treated at CHC Junabai.
