Checking of bus, police had received this information

Bilaspur: In view of the assembly elections, police is running a checking campaign across the state. Due to the continuous action of the police, now crores of rupees in cash, sarees and liquor have been seized. During the checking operation, Bilaspur police seized Rs 20 lakh in cash and a bundle of sarees from the Creta car. Both these actions have been taken in different police station areas. Police is investigating the matter.

Intensive checking of vehicles was being done by setting up a check post on Vyapar Vihar Road of Tarbahar police station area. During this time, Rs 20 lakh was recovered from the Creta car of a person, regarding which the said amount was confiscated when no legal reply was received. The police have seized the amount under Section 102 and are taking action outside the case.

During vehicle checking, Sakri police seized 201 pieces of sarees. The value of the seized sarees is around Rs 1 lakh. Police checked the trunk of bus number CG28 G-0103, in which sarees filled in two sacks were found. The sarees were asked to be loaded at the new bus stand Bilaspur and left at Takhatpur. The police is investigating the matter.
