During the press review held today before participating in the Republic Day Parade, the tableau ‘Bastar Ki Adim Jan Sansad: Muria Darbar’ being displayed by Chhattisgarh received a lot of praise from the national media. This tableau presents evidence of the democratic consciousness present in the tribal society of Chhattisgarh since ancient times. The press review was organized at the National Theatre, New Delhi. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while congratulating the team involved in making the tableau for the good review, has said that the topic of Chhattisgarh’s tableau is very important not only for Chhattisgarh but for the tribal society of the entire country. During the press review, folk artists of Chhattisgarh performed Parab dance in front of the tableau. At the same time, the melodious tune of the flute along with the beat of Maander captivated everyone.

Chhattisgarh’s tableau ‘Bastar’s Primitive People’s Parliament: Muria Darbar’, which will be displayed on the duty path of New Delhi on the Republic Day, includes the Muria Darbar of Jagdalpur and the Limau Raja of Bade-Dongar, included in the tradition of Bastar-Dussehra. The central theme has been created. Besides, the world has also been introduced to the beauty of bellmetal and terracotta crafts of Bastar in the decoration of the tableau. On the platform of the tableau, a beautiful Nandi made of bell metal is displayed near Limuraja, which is being presented as a symbol of the self-confidence and cultural beauty of the primitive society. There are decorated elephants made of terracotta sculpture on all four sides of the platform, which are being presented as a symbol of the power of the people. In Muria Darbar, a glimpse of the cultural development that has taken place in Bastar from primitive times till now is also being shown. In the front part of the tableau, a tribal girl is being shown presenting her views, the lifestyle, aesthetics and cultured attire of Bastar is being displayed through the traditional attire of the girl. Today during the press review, folk artistes of Chhattisgarh presented Parab dance in front of the national media. Parab dance is a popular dance of the Dhurwa tribe of Bastar, in which a group of dancers dance in a queue. Juggling is also involved with the dance.
