Chief Electoral Officer inspected the preparations at the counting site
Kawardha : Chief Electoral Officer Chhattisgarh Reena Babasaheb Kangale along with Collector and District Election Officer Janmejay Mahobe and Superintendent of Police Dr. Abhishek Pallav today inspected the preparations at the counting site under the Agricultural Produce Market complex of Kawardha. Chief Electoral Officer Kangale inspected the preparations being made here for the counting of votes for assembly constituencies 71 Pandariya and 72 Kawardha of the district. Along with this, the security arrangements of the strongroom were inspected. He took detailed information regarding the CCTV cameras and security forces deployed at the counting venue, counting of votes and preparations for counting of postal ballots.
During the inspection, he gave instructions to make base infrastructure at assembly wise counting hall, preparation of 21 tables on the basis of proposal, security arrangements at the counting venue and necessary facilities in the media centre. Instructions were given to issue passes to all the employees engaged in other necessary arrangements including the officers engaged in counting of votes on the counting day. Instructions were given to make proper meeting arrangements for the agents of political parties at the counting room. Counting of votes for the Assembly General Election 2023 will begin on December 3 at 8 am amid tight security at Adarsh Agricultural Produce Market, Talpur.
Chief Electoral Officer Chhattisgarh Reena Babasaheb Kangale asked the candidates and their election agents present on the occasion to compulsorily give information about the guidelines received from the Election Commission before starting the counting work. He reviewed the infrastructure at the counting centres, security arrangements, necessary facilities in the media centre, counting material for counting, counting of postal ballots, counting of votes recorded in EVMs, VVPAT sleep counting, sealing of EVMs and election material after completion of counting. And also took detailed information regarding the declaration of results. During the inspection, Returning Officer Assembly-71 Pandariya Sandeep Thakur, Assembly-72 Kawardha PC Kori, Joint Collector Dr. Monica Kaudo, Deputy District Election Officer Rituraj Bisen, Deputy Collector Lekha Ajagalle, Akanksha Nayak and election related officers were present.
