Chief Minister Dhami greeted people on Vijayadashami
Dehradun (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Vijayadashami. “The festival of Vijayadashami symbolizes the victory of good over evil and truth over lies. What is needed today is that we be free from ego in our lives, follow the path of truth and work together for the goodwill of the state and the country.” ,” an official statement quoted the Uttarakhand CM as saying.
The Prime Minister said that Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram was dedicated to truth, dignity, justice, peace, philanthropy and public welfare.
CM said, “His life inspires us to follow the right path and live an ideal life. Vijayadashami is also a festival of worship of Shakti.”
Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, is a major Hindu festival celebrated every year at the end of Navratri.
It is celebrated on the seventh day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar, the tenth day of the month of Ashwin. This festival usually falls in the months of September and October of the Gregorian calendar.
This festival also begins preparations for the important festival of lights, Diwali, which falls twenty days after Vijayadashami.
