Chief Minister inaugurates various facilities of KIIT-KISS for general public and employees
Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a range of facilities and centers dedicated to enhancing the well-being of both KIIT-KISS employees and the public. The unveiled amenities include the Shephalee Creche, KIIT Public School, Jayanta Mahapatra Public Library, Baba Ram Narayan Das Prasad Sevan Kendra, and the KIIT Souvenir Gallery.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the visionary behind KIIT-KISS, has consistently emphasized the welfare of the institution’s employees and staff. In line with this commitment, various projects and programs have been initiated to enhance the well-being and happiness of both employees and their families.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Baba Ram Narayan Das, the founder President of Unit-1 Ram Temple, Saswati Bal, the President of KIIT & KISS, and other senior officials from KIIT.
The newly established public school is designed to benefit KIIT-KISS employees with a monthly salary of less than Rs 30,000. They can now enroll their children in an English medium education system following the CBSE curriculum at KIIT Public School.
The Jayanta Mahapatra Public Library, an air-conditioned facility located near the KIIT Gundicha Temple, is named after the esteemed bilingual poet from Odisha, Padmashree Jayanta Mahapatra.
In a bid to assist patient attendants visiting the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, subsidized “Prasad Sevan” will be accessible at the KIIT Gundicha Temple Complex. The “Prasad,” available at KIIT Jagannath Temple, can be obtained for Rs 30 per person, and the location is dedicated to the revered spiritual leader Baba Narayan Das.
The KIIT Souvenir Gallery showcases a diverse array of unique souvenirs representing cultures worldwide, with a special emphasis on rich Odia handicrafts and KIIT University-branded merchandise catering to students, staff, alumni, and visitors alike.
