Chief Minister meets Delhi LG to discuss ongoing projects
New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena at his official residence in Delhi.
An Assam government press release said the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for his support and cooperation towards the ongoing projects in the national capital, including the Assam Complex, and sought his assistance in bringing the projects to fruition.
Taking the X, Himanta wrote, “Expressed my heartfelt thanks for his kind support towards the ongoing projects of the Government of Assam in the national capital and also sought his assistance in making them successful.”
Earlier last week, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi had directed officials to submit the pending files filed by the AAP government within three days.
These files are pending with the GNCTD Minister (Law) for six months and relate to courts, judicial infrastructure, speedy justice delivery and the justice administration system in the capital.
“Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, being apprised of the inexplicable delay by the AAP government in approving files and proposals related to courts, judicial infrastructure, speedy justice delivery and justice administration system in the capital, he invoked Rule 19(5) Has been implemented. GNCTD, TOBR of 1993, and directed that all such files be submitted to him for decision within 3 days,” the LG office press note said.
