Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami participated in the closing ceremony of Lok Virasat

Attended the function. The Chief Minister said that this festival which showcases the glimpse of folk culture of Uttarakhand is inspiring. This festival, which is an integration of various cultures of the state, is going to make one feel the presence of mini Uttarakhand at one place. He said that this wonderful confluence of different types of singing styles, dance styles and language styles of Uttarakhand is making us proud by introducing our glorious culture. He also assured all possible cooperation at the state government level for such events. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also encouraged the stall owners by visiting the stalls of traditional products, food items, etc.


The Chief Minister said that today not only people of India but also people of the entire world are getting acquainted with the culture and civilization of Uttarakhand. Our state is illuminating the entire world with its aura. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the revival of religious places of the state and the cultural specialties here are being promoted across the world, Uttarakhand has become a center of special attraction for the world. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is continuously working with commitment for the all-round development and cultural development of the state. Prime Minister Shri Modi has described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand. We are continuously working in this direction and are working with commitment to include Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country.

The Chief Minister said that this year 56 lakh people came for the Char Dham Yatra while 4.15 crore devotees participated in the Kavad Yatra. Not only this, the number of tourists coming throughout the year is also continuously increasing, due to which people in the country and the world are also becoming familiar with our folk culture. Holding of three meetings of G20 in Uttarakhand was also in the wider interest of the state. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will also attend the Global Investors Conference in Dehradun on 8th and 9th December, for which agreements worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore have been signed so far. Preparations are being made for this on a large scale. Special attention is being given to the improvement and beautification of roads from Jolly Grant to FRI. The presence of investors coming from India and abroad will definitely prove to be a source of economic prosperity and employment opportunities for the state.

The Chief Minister said that our double engine government has implemented many new development projects in the state and has also done the work of preserving the geo-cultural diversity of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the availability of technology and experts and the blessings of our favorite deities helped in safely evacuating our labor brothers from the Silkyara Tunnel. He said that a committee has been formed to prepare the draft of Uniform Civil Code of Conduct in the state, the committee formed to implement the Uniform Civil Code law is working on the draft rapidly, strict action will also be taken against Land Jihad. While doing this, about 33 hundred acres of government land has been freed. A strict law has been made to stop religious conversion in Devbhoomi, and to stop cheating in examinations, India’s toughest anti-copying law has been made in the state. He said that it is a matter of pride for us that today other states are also adopting many of the decisions taken by Uttarakhand. On this occasion, folk heritage events were organized by Dr. K.P. Joshi informed about the objectives of this event. A glimpse of folk culture was presented by folk singer Narendra Singh Negi and other artists. Dr. Nand Kishore Hatwal, Sudhir Nautiyal, Mohan Khatri, along with artists and other people associated with folk culture from across the state were present in the program.
