Chief Minister Sai performed the Puja of Lord Vishwakarma and vehicles at CM House
Raipur: On the auspicious occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai performed Puja-Archana of Lord Vishwakarma and vehicles at CM House.
Who is Lord Vishwakarma?
In most Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishwakarma is considered to be a descendant of Lord Brahma, the creator of the world. It is believed that Vastudev was born from the son Dharma of Lord Brahma, who is considered to be the first man of Shilp Shastra. Lord Vishwakarma was born to the wife of this Vastudev named Angirasi.
At the same time, according to some religious texts, Lord Vishwakarma, considered to be the first craftsman of the universe, is the seventh son of Lord Brahma, the creator of the world. Also, in some texts, he is also described as the incarnation of Mahadev Shiva. It is believed that he was born on the day of Kanya Sankranti falling in the month of Bhado, which often falls on 17 September. Therefore, Vishwakarma Puja is performed on this date every year.
