Chief Minister’s Address
Raipur. • On this very day, three years ago, the Godhan NYAY Yojana was initiated. Hareli marks the first festival of the year when farmers worship agricultural tools and cows. Children celebrate this festival by enjoying ‘Gedi’ rides. This year, our state has received abundant rainfall, and the sowing will commence tomorrow. We are hopeful for a bountiful harvest this year. Paddy will be sold at the rate of 20 quintals per acre.
- Even amidst the pandemic, we ensured that no one suffered any losses. We arranged for ration distribution during the crisis besides ensuring the satisfaction of both farmers and traders.
- Today, the farmers in Chhattisgarh are free from the burden of debts. Initiatives like Godhan NYAY Yojana have contributed to boosting people’s income. In the healthcare sector, we are making consistent efforts to provide medical facilities to everyone.
- In the field of education, we are establishing ten English medium colleges. Our pride in our dialect, language, and culture has grown significantly. Those who used to feel ashamed of consuming ‘Baasi’ now proudly click photos and say, “I am also eating bore basi”.
- We are dedicated to preserving and nurturing centers of faith. Basic facilities have been developed at the Rajim fair. Through events like the National Ramayana Festival and the National Tribal Dance Festival, we have actively promoted our rich cultural heritage.
- We are constructing model Jaitkhambh in every block. Our ancestors have always conveyed a message of peace, making Chhattisgarh a land of tranquility, which is why it is often said, “Chhattisgarhiya sable badiya”.
