CM Arvind Kejriwal spoke on the flood situation in Delhi
After record rains in the capital Delhi, a flood-like situation has arisen. The water level of the Yamuna river has increased due to the release of water from the Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana. However, the Yamuna River Water Level flowing through the national capital came down to 207.68 meters this morning after breaking a record of 45 years, while many areas of Delhi are still completely submerged in water. Now if the water level of Yamuna decreases gradually, then the situation may become normal soon.
Today Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a tweet regarding this. In which he said, “The water level in Yamuna is decreasing gradually. If there is no heavy rain again, the situation will become normal soon. Water has been started from Chandrawal and Wazirabad water treatment plants. After that the machines will be dried. Both The plants will be operational only by tomorrow. Please be careful and help each other.”
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in the capital today. Experts say that in case of heavy rains in Delhi, the rain water may overflow and it may take more time than usual to get out. Waterlogging can make the situation worse. Yesterday also there was light rain in many parts of Delhi.
