CM Mohan Yadav presides over law and order review meeting in Ujjain
Ujjain: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a meeting of all Collectors and Superintendent of Police officers of Ujjain division regarding the law and order situation of Ujjain division.
Chief Minister Shri Yadav said that the pending promotion orders of police officers should be issued immediately. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed all the officials to take strict action against adulteration.
CM Mohan Yadav also directed the officials to take cognizance of the incidents of extortion and take immediate action. Soon after assuming office, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday signed the first order related to the decision to use sound amplifiers – loudspeakers, DJs – as per prescribed norms at any type of religious place or other places in the state .
The decision also directed that flying squads will be formed in all the districts to investigate cases of illegal use of loudspeakers etc. and to check noise pollution.
The state government has taken the decision as per the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Noise Control Act, Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000 and the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court and High Court at religious places and other places in the state. Under this, the use of loud loudspeakers and other sound amplifying devices without prior permission is completely prohibited.
Flying squads will conduct regular surprise inspections of religious and public places in all districts where loudspeakers are used. This will help in curbing noise pollution and illegal use of loudspeakers etc. In case of violation of rules, investigation will be done within three days and the report will be submitted to the concerned authority.
Meanwhile, on the ban on sale of meat in the open, Deputy CM Shukla said, ‘Sale of meat in the open will cause trouble to the people, hence instructions have been given to strictly implement the rules in this regard.’
An era of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan came to an end as BJP MLA Mohan Yadav took oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
Governor Mangubhai C. Patel administered him the oath of office at the huge Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal.
Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Deora took oath as Deputy CMs, while former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will be the Assembly Speaker.
