CM Mohan Yadav prioritized works to increase farmers’ income.

Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said here on Saturday that farmers should be taken on tours to agriculturally advanced states and foreign countries like Israel and Brazil, which are known for innovative agricultural innovations. Reviewing the action plan prepared for agriculture and related departments at the Samatva Bhavan of the Chief Minister’s House, he directed that departments such as Farmers’ Welfare, Cooperatives, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Panchayat and Rural Development, Revenue, Horticulture, Food Processing, Energy, New and Renewable Energy, Fisheries Welfare, and Irrigation work together to achieve the goal of a “Prosperous Farmer, Prosperous State.”
Giving instructions to promote floriculture, he said that the Rose Festival in Bhopal should be organized as a Flower Festival, incorporating flowers grown in other parts of the state.
Activities being initiated in the 2026 agricultural year should be implemented with a three-year target. He said that activities that increase farmers’ income and create jobs should be prioritized.
Farmers should be provided with affordable loans. The Chief Minister said that special efforts should be made to promote natural and organic farming, and that farmers should receive fair prices for their produce.
Officials said that major programs focusing on farmers have been planned from January to November.
