CM orders to deposit Rythu Bandhu amount in farmers’ accounts
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ordered officials to release funds under the Rythu Bandhu scheme in the accounts of farmers from Monday.
Reddy held a high-level review meeting of the Agriculture Department in Hyderabad on Monday.
“CM Shri Revanth_Anumula directed all farmers in the state to start the process of depositing ‘Rythu Bandhu’ funds in their accounts from today,” Telangana Chief Minister’s Office said in a post on ‘X’.
In the ‘X’, the CMO said, the Chief Minister held a review meeting held for about three hours at the Telangana State Secretariat to extensively discuss the performance of the Agriculture Department and allied departments and the implementation of farmer welfare programs in the State. Post.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy clarified that the officials should start the process of crediting ‘Ryatubandhu’ funds in their accounts from Monday (December 11). He said that crop investment assistance should be provided so that no farmer is inconvenienced.
The CMO said that as per his government’s promise, the Chief Minister ordered top officials to prepare a proper action plan to waive off loans worth Rs 2 lakh of farmers of the state.
Earlier during the assembly elections, the Election Commission of India had withdrawn the permission given to the Telangana government for distribution of financial assistance to farmers for Rabi crops under the Rythu Bandhu scheme after state minister T. Harish Rao had criticized it. Had violated the election code by making public announcement.
The election body said in a notification that no disbursement will be made under the scheme until the model code of conduct is implemented in all forms in the Telangana state.
It further said that the Telangana Minister by publicizing the release under the scheme has not only violated the provisions of the MCC but also violated the conditions mentioned above.
As per the MCC rule, from the time the elections are announced by the Commission, the Minister and other officials shall not announce any financial grant in any form or promise.
