CM Patnaik will inaugurate Lower Suktel Irrigation Project tomorrow
Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister will start his tour of his district in Western Odisha from tomorrow. He will visit Balangir district tomorrow. The much awaited Lower Suktel Irrigation Project will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister. Apart from this, the CM will inaugurate projects worth Rs 112 crore. Cost of Rs 2220 crore and foundation stone laying plan.
Preparations for this have reached the final stage. Suktel project will be the lifeline of irrigation in Balangir and Sonpur districts. It has been said in the report that, 40 thousand hectares of agricultural land in Balangir and Sonpur districts will be irrigated. The problem of drought in this area will completely end. Besides this, the problem of drinking water in the district will also be solved. The dispute regarding the development of Suktel project has been going on for 23 years. But, ultimately this project will be inaugurated by the CM.
