CM Sukhu distributed compensation of Rs 11.31 crore to the disaster affected
Shimla. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday distributed a compensation amount of Rs 11.31 crore under the ‘Rehabilitation’ scheme to the families affected by rain and flood in Solan district.
The compensation includes the first installment of Rs 3 lakh to each of the 377 families whose houses were completely damaged due to the disaster caused by the monsoon.
A statement issued here said that the government has so far provided compensation amounting to Rs 42.53 crore to the disaster affected people of Solan district.
It said around 8,700 families have been affected due to the disaster in Solan, which left 377 houses completely destroyed and around 500 houses partially damaged in the district.
The Chief Minister said that the compensation amount for completely destroyed houses has been increased from Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. Sukhu said that the state government understands the pain of every affected person and adequate assistance is being provided to every disaster affected person. Has been.
A special package of Rs 4,500 crore has been announced by the state government to help the affected people. According to the statement, Sukhu presented certificates to 11 beneficiaries under the ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana’ in Solan. There are 205 beneficiaries of the scheme in the district.
Under ‘Srinivas Ramanujan Digital Student Scheme’, tablets were provided to 26 students in the district.
