CM Sukhu said this on the benefits of digital technology

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Government has won two prestigious awards at the 12th edition of the Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards 2023 held in Leh recently.
Organized by GovConnect and Illouz Media in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology, Union Territory of Ladakh, the event recognized outstanding contributions to digital transformation in the government sector.

Secretary (Digital Technology and Governance) and Secretary to the Chief Minister Abhishek Jain received both the awards on behalf of the state. These awards are an acknowledgment of the State’s commitment to leveraging digital technologies for the betterment of governance and public services.
These awards were presented to the state for the initiative of Chief Minister Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 and Himparivaar Project under the ambit of the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DT&G).

Congratulating DT&G, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that these awards are a testament to the efforts of the state government in promoting digital transformation. “The state is setting benchmarks in leveraging technology for governance and public welfare and positioning itself as a leader in digital technologies,” Sukhu said.

Chief Minister Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 is a centralized public grievance redressal platform in the state. This platform has successfully streamlined the process of addressing public complaints, offering citizens a user-friendly and accessible mechanism for resolution of their complaints, which can be registered through toll free number, web application and mobile application. can be done.

So far, the platform has resolved 6,04,557 complaints related to 90 departments involving 10,000 officials. Of these, 5,93,693 (98 per cent) complaints have been successfully disposed of, 4,25,067 (70 per cent) have been disposed of with citizen satisfaction. This is the largest number of such centralized grievance redressal helplines being run across the country.

Apart from this, the CM Helpline is also being integrated with 181 Women Helpline, HRTC Helpline, 1077 Disaster Response, GST Helpline, De-addiction Counseling etc. to make it a centralized call center for the state. A WhatsApp chatbot is also being introduced to increase the reach of the CM Helpline.

Meanwhile, the Himparivaar Project is an entitlement-based management system that is being developed as an integrated state social registry. This initiative symbolizes the state’s visionary vision of using technology for comprehensive management of social welfare programmes.

The initiative proposes to harness socio-economic data of citizens to help them access government services and benefits and provide all such information in a unified interface.
The project will also serve as a data repository to provide information for effective decision making and policy formulation for future programmes.
