CM washed the feet of Kanwariyas, flower shower from helicopter
Haridwar: The holy month of Shravan is going on. A large number of Kanwariyas are reaching Haridwar. The administration has taken steps to control the crowd. In this connection, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was on a tour of Haridwar on Tuesday.
CM Dhami attended a program organized at Ganga Ghat in Haridwar Damkothi. Here CM Dhami welcomed Shiva devotees and Kanwariyas from other cities. The CM washed the feet of the Kanwariyas and garlanded them. The CM also gave Ganga water as a gift while honoring them. Apart from this, flower shower was done on the Kanwariyas from helicopter from Har Ki Pauri to Narsan border. This event was organized to further increase the enthusiasm and faith of Shiva devotees during the Kanwar Yatra.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is a matter of joy for us that Shiva devotees have arrived here. We welcome and greet them in Devbhoomi and pray to God that their journey is pleasant and safe. He said that I would request all the Kanwar devotees to follow the rules made by the district administration. This will ensure the safety of their travel and no one else will face any problem.
The CM thanked the officials and members of the voluntary organizations for their cooperation in the Kanwar Mela. On the shower of flowers on the Kanwariyas from the helicopter, the CM said that it is a festive atmosphere for us, so many Shiva devotees come here and we welcome them with open hearts. We are not congratulating them, but ourselves.
