CM’s announcement…Today is the day of decision in Maharashtra, will there be a surprise again?

Maharashtra CM: The political deadlock that has been going on since the election results came out in Maharashtra has ended. This has paved the way for the formation of a new government in the state. On Tuesday, senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met acting Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde. In this meeting, a temporary arrangement was decided for the formation of the new government. Let us tell you that the swearing-in ceremony of the new government will be held on December 5. Before this, there will be a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party today, in which the name of the Chief Minister will be announced.

Fadnavis and Shinde have decided to temporarily postpone the issues of portfolios and cabinet share so that the new government can take charge on Thursday. These issues will be resolved after the formation of the government.

More than 30 MLAs of the Mahayuti alliance (BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP) will be included in the cabinet at the swearing-in ceremony organized at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. However, even 10 days after the election results were announced, the three allies of the Mahayuti have not been able to reach a consensus on the cabinet share and allocation of departments.

Despite the excellent performance of Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde has handed over the post of Chief Minister to BJP. He has demanded Deputy CM and Home Ministry. Apart from this, he has also demanded some other major departments and the post of Assembly Speaker. Although BJP is not ready to give the Home Ministry and the post of Assembly Speaker, but is ready to negotiate on other departments.

On Monday, BJP leader Girish Mahajan met Eknath Shinde at his residence in Thane. After this, a meeting of about 30 minutes was held between Shinde and Fadnavis at ‘Varsha’ residence in Mumbai on Tuesday. According to sources, both the leaders have decided the number of ministers to be included in the swearing-in ceremony.

NCP chief Ajit Pawar has demanded seven cabinet and four state minister posts, one cabinet minister at the Center and the post of Governor. At the same time, Shiv Sena has demanded the Home Ministry and the post of Assembly Speaker. At the same time, BJP has indicated that Shiv Sena can be given 11-12 ministerial posts and NCP can be given 9-10 ministerial posts, while BJP will keep 22-23 ministerial posts with itself.

BJP does not want to upset Shinde in such a way that it seems that the party has sidelined him after breaking Shiv Sena. Also, Shinde’s important role in the upcoming municipal elections in Mumbai and surrounding areas cannot be ignored. Shinde is adamant on the demand of a major department like the Home Ministry to maintain his supporters and his credibility in the party.
