Cocaine worth Rs 60,000 seized in Calangute, one arrested

Calangute: Calangute police on Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old native of Jharkhand and seized cocaine weighing 6 grams, worth around Rs 60,000.

A raid was conducted near the temple at Khobrovado Calangute, during which Roshan Kumar was arrested in the presence of Panchas and the above mentioned drugs were seized. The raid was conducted by the team of Calangute police station’s PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar, head constable Vidyanand Amonkar and police constables Manoj Naik, Ameer Garad, Sanjyot Kerkar, Bhagwan Palyekar and Gaurish Karbotkar.

A complaint regarding illegal possession of drugs was lodged by PSI Vishwajeet Dhavalikar of Calangute police station, on which PSI Parag Parekh has registered an offense under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985.
