Collector and SSP took out flag march in the city
Raigarh: Before the second phase of voting under Assembly General Election-2023, on 14th November in the evening, Collector and District Election Officer Karthikeya Goyal and SSP Sadanand Kumar conducted a flag march in the city along with the paramilitary forces available at Raigarh Headquarters and the local police force. On this occasion, CEO District Panchayat Jitender Yadav, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Mahadeva, Additional Collector Rajiv Pandey, Assistant Collector Yuvraj Marmat were present. Voting will be held in the district on 17th November. A flag march was taken out in the district headquarters today to give a message of security to the general public before voting. Collector Goyal said that a flag march is being taken out 72 hours before voting, so that a safe environment can be created for peaceful voting among the city residents. Collector Shri Goyal appealed to all the general public to exercise their franchise on the voting day to be held on 17th November. Along with this, helpline number 1950 has been issued by the district administration for any kind of information and complaint related to elections. In which if any irregularity is found in the constituency, immediate action will be taken on registering a complaint on the said number.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar said that a flag march is being taken out before voting, so that the movement of forces is maintained in sensitive areas. Along with this, the force should have an understanding of the area and can keep a watch on the criminal elements. So that immediate control can be taken if any untoward incident occurs on Election Day. Today, apart from the flag march in the district headquarters, flag march is being taken out in all the sections. It is noteworthy that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, sensitive polling stations have already been identified. Besides, the police is keeping a close watch on the intensive blockade campaign on the borders of the district and the movement of outsiders. Police is running a special campaign against illicit liquor, illegal money and drugs. In any case, strict action will be taken against those who create disturbances in the voting process. The administration and police are fully committed to conducting the assembly elections in a fair and transparent manner. In the same sequence, according to the flag march program, today evening the Collector and SSP took out a flag march in the entire city from City Kotwali, apart from Handi Chowk, Ghadi Chowk, Sattiguri Chowk, roaming on foot in various squares and intersections of the city. Various companies of paramilitary forces have come to the district to conduct peaceful elections. In which the local police forces of the district together are conducting flag march in their respective areas. The district administration and police officers appealed to the voters to vote impartially, boldly, fearlessly and without fear.
