College student returning home by auto molested, miscreant arrested

Durg: Bhilai Nagar Police has arrested the accused of molesting a college student. On the complaint of the student, Bhilai Nagar Police has registered a case and sent the accused to judicial custody.

Bhilai Nagar Police Station Incharge Rajkumar Lahare said that a BCA second year student has lodged a complaint of molestation against her. She told that on July 12, she had left the college early for her home. So she took an auto and sat in it. She saw that a person was already sitting in the auto.

Around 1.45 pm, as soon as the auto reached near Globe Chowk, the young man sat next to her. After this, he started touching the student indecently with his hands. When he did not stop even after the student protested, she got down there and from there reached Bhilai Nagar Police Station. After this, she lodged a complaint about the matter.

When the boy did not listen even after being refused, the girl called her sports teacher and asked the auto driver to drop her near Globe Chowk. When the auto driver dropped the girl near Globe Chowk, the boy who was harassing her also got down there. Another man was sitting with him in the auto and he was laughing. Just then the girl’s sports teacher came there. In front of her also the man touched her and said that his name is Ashok Soni and he lives in Ahmed Nagar Camp 2. Tell whoever you want to tell. After this Bhilai Nagar Police has arrested the accused.
