Collision between trailer and car: 4 people died, were returning from a wedding
Mirzapur: A major accident took place in Mirzapur with people returning from a wedding ceremony. Four people, including a mother and son, were killed in a collision with a trailer near Tedua Veer Baba Temple in Adalhat police station area on Saturday night at around 11:30 pm. Three people in the car were injured. The injured have been admitted to Varanasi Trauma Centre. Sonbhadra’s family members had gone to Varanasi to attend the wedding ceremony.
CO Chunar Umashankar said that the car riders were returning to Sonbhadra from the wedding ceremony at around 11:30 pm. As soon as the driver reached the Tedua Veer Baba temple of Adalhat police station area with the car. Then the trailer coming from the front hit the car. A total of 7 people in the car were injured in the accident. Police reached the spot after getting information and admitted the injured to Varanasi Trauma Centre.
In Varanasi, 56-year-old Shakeela Bano, resident of Brahmanagar, Rawartsganj, Sonbhadra, Samit Parveen, 40, resident of Urmauda, Husnahara, 35, resident of Obra, Sonbhadra and her son 12-year-old Dilshan died. While the other three injured are undergoing treatment in Varanasi. The damaged trailer and car have been taken into custody by the police. The police have taken the trailer driver into custody and started taking further action.
