Committed to supporting literary progress in the state: Minister Bamang Felix
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Bamang Felix said the state government is committed to provide every assistance for literary progress in the state. Addressing the inaugural session of the fifth edition of the Arunachal Literature Festival on Thursday night, the minister called upon the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) to work out a practical mechanism to sustain the literary mission in the state. Felix invited the youth to attend and watch literary discourses during various sessions to hone and enhance their talent for writing, an official release said here on Friday. “The world is not complete without literature as it is passed down from generation to generation,” the minister said while advocating for carrying forward more such literary outputs to the coming generations.
Appreciating the literary pioneers and gurus of the state—Padma Shri and Sahitya Akademi awardee Y D Thongchi, Padma Shri Mamang Dai and Lummer Dai—for their contribution in giving impetus to the literary world in the state, Felix said that these people A platform has been provided for this. Have meaningful discussions to upgrade the skills of local writers and poets. With the theme “Read, Reflect, Reimagine”, the Mahotsav, organized by the State Information and Public Relations Department in collaboration with APLS, is a calendar event that aims to promote creative writing through an interface between local writers and established writers. To provide a platform to encourage local emerging talents to enhance their skills in creative writing. Many prominent writers, authors, poets, publishers, emerging writers and literature lovers from the state and outside are participating in the three-day event.
