Congress councilor joins BJP
Bhilai. Congress has suffered a major setback in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Zone 3 President Jalandhar Singh has joined BJP. Jalandhar Singh is also a councilor in the corporation. MP Vijay Baghel and District President have admitted Jalandhar Singh into BJP.
There is a ruckus in the Chhattisgarh Congress Committee before the Lok Sabha elections. Just a few days ago, Congress’ city Mahila District President Sarla Tiwari had resigned and joined BJP. On Wednesday, two Congress women councilors had also submitted their resignations from the Congress party to State Congress Committee President Deepak. Both these women councilors had accused Congress District City President Sushil Maurya of insulting and threatening them. Frustrated with this, he announced his resignation from the Congress party.
