Congress leader joins BJP with 500 of his supporters
Bilaspur: Significant developments have emerged in Bilaspur, marking a substantial setback for the Congress party right before the elections. Over 500 Congress party members, including prominent figure Pinal Upveja, have made the decision to switch their allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The welcoming ceremony into the BJP was presided over by former minister Amar Aggarwal, who extended a symbolic gesture by adorning a BJP gamchha.
The majority of these defectors hail from the Beltara and Bilaspur assembly constituencies, and their decision has dealt a substantial blow to the Congress party in these regions.
