Congress leader’s tanker caught, accused of supplying stolen diesel

Korba. In Korba, SECL’s security team Tripura State Rifle has caught two tankers stealing diesel from Kusmunda mine vehicles. The tanker is said to belong to Kusmunda’s Youth Congress leader Abhishek Anand. On the other hand, the transporter from where the oil was being emptied is also said to belong to the regional councilor.

The incident is of SECL Kusmunda area where on the basis of the report received last night at around 10:45 pm, the jawans of Tripura State Rifles were raided to catch diesel theft through QRT in the mine premises, tanker vehicle number CG 12 BF 7159 was seen stealing diesel in Barkuta face under Kusmunda project. A person named Avinash was caught pouring diesel in the vehicle number CG 12 S 2198.

Investigation revealed that the owner of the tanker is Abhishek Anand and on enquiry, Arvind, who is working as a scribe in KD Transport, threatened to close the mine while abusing Tripura State Rifles and SECL departmental security personnel for reporting at the police station. Later, on the report received by Station House Officer, Police Station Kusmunda, the tanker vehicle has been seized, by correspondence from the SECL management, the Station House Officer has been requested to register an FIR against the tanker owner and the transporting company. Kusmunda police have started investigation by seizing the tanker.
