Congress legislature party meeting will be held tomorrow

Raipur. Chhattisgarh Congress Legislature Party meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 19. In this, all 35 Congress MLAs including the new leader of opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant will participate. All the MLAs and Leader of Opposition will be introduced. This is also being linked to the dinner politics of Congress. The meeting will be held at the residence of Dr. Charan Das Mahant in Raipur at 7 pm. After the meeting, all the MLAs will also have dinner with the Leader of Opposition. Also, there will be a discussion about how Congress MLAs will work in the coming days. Especially there will be talk on maintaining unity among the MLAs.

On December 16 itself, Charan Das Mahant was made the Leader of Opposition. He won the election from Sakti assembly seat. Along with him, the Congress high command has also approved the proposal to keep Deepak Baij as the state president. In the results of 2023 assembly elections, big leaders of Congress had to face defeat. Although Congress has 35 MLAs, but 14 of them have reached the Assembly after being elected for the first time. Of the remaining 21, more than half have become MLAs for the second time. Mahant will meet all these MLAs together for the first time as Leader of Opposition.

The winter session of the Assembly is also starting from Tuesday. This will run till 21st December. This will be the first assembly session after the formation of the new government. In this three-day session, the Governor’s address including the swearing-in will be discussed. This time Congress has won 35 assembly seats. Whereas BJP won 54 seats. The Governor’s address will be held on Wednesday, December 20, the next day of the Assembly session. On the third day on December 21, the Governor’s address will be discussed. Government work will be done. Supplementary budget can also be discussed during this session.
