Congress MLA rebelled, people asked me to contest independent elections
Kanker: This time the assembly elections in Antagarh assembly of the district are going to be interesting. There has been a rebellion in the Congress in Antagarh assembly seat. Present MLA Anoop Nag announced that he will contest the elections as an independent candidate and also filed his nomination today. During this he said that the people of my assembly constituency have asked me to contest independent elections.
Current MLA Nag said, I have not talked to any political party, regional party, nor am I going to support anyone. The people of my assembly are asking me to contest elections. I will contest the elections independently as an independent candidate. Regarding withdrawal of name, Anup Nag said, I will never withdraw my name. Let us tell you that in Antagarh Assembly, Congress has canceled the ticket of Anup Nag and given the ticket to Roopsingh Potai. There is resentment among Anoop Nag’s supporters over giving ticket to Roopsingh Potai. Along with this, supporters of Anoop Nag also took out a nomination rally in large numbers in the district headquarters today in a show of strength.
