Congress saved the chair in Dongargarh Municipality

Khairagadh: After the change of power in Chhattisgarh, there was political upheaval in Dongargarh Municipality. Voting was held today on the no-confidence motion against the Congress-supported Municipal President, in which the no-confidence motion was defeated.

While 15 councilors voted in favor of the no-confidence motion, 8 votes were cast against the proposal, while 16 councilors’ votes were needed as a two-thirds majority to pass the no-confidence motion. At present, Sudesh Meshram of Congress was successful in saving his chair of the president, after which there is an atmosphere of happiness in the Congress party.

Let us tell you that after the change of power, Municipal Council Vice President Uma Mahesh Verma joined the BJP along with an independent councilor. After this, the threat to the Congress city government was constantly looming. BJP along with its councilor group brought a no-confidence motion against the Congress Municipal President, which was defeated today.
