Congress will not back down from DMK alliance: MP Manickam Thakur

Tamil Nadu: The party’s Virudhunagar Lok Sabha member, Manickam Thakur, has clearly stated that the Congress will not withdraw from the DMK alliance due to the DMDK merger.
Speaking to reporters in Sivakasi, Virudhunagar district, on Thursday, he said: “It is a matter of happiness that the DMDK has joined the DMK alliance. The relationship between the DMK and the Congress is very old. Therefore, the assumption that the DMDK’s entry will cause the Congress to withdraw from the DMK alliance is completely wrong. The DMK alliance’s victory is certain.”
The AIADMK-BJP alliance is an alliance that has already been rejected by the people. This alliance will only achieve third place in the upcoming assembly elections.
Some people, including former BJP state president K. Annamalai, may refrain from contesting the elections due to fear of defeat. He said that Naina Nagendran is also expected to change her constituency.
When reporters asked him about the occasional dissenting voices within the Congress party, he said, “The Congress party is a very big tree; it is normal for some voices to emerge from it from time to time.”
