Congressmen remembered Sanjay Gandhi

Bhilai. Congressmen remembered Sanjay Gandhi in Durg. He was honored at Rajiv Bhawan on his birthday. Local leaders including former MLA Arun Vora participated in this program. He is also given the credit for bringing Maruti 800 to India. Sanjay Gandhi’s dream was that common people should have a car in India.

For this, he also got a workshop prepared in Gulabi Bagh, Delhi. On June 4, 1971, a company named Maruti Motors Limited was formed and the first MD of this company was Sanjay Gandhi himself.

Sanjay Gandhi (14 December 1946 – 23 June 1980) was an Indian politician. He was the younger son of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Maneka Gandhi is his wife and Varun Gandhi is his son.

Actually, Sanjay was known for his dare devil act not only in politics but also in his personal life. That one flight on 23 June 1980 started a series of tragic events in the Gandhi family.
