Maharashtra: 11 Maoists surrendered in Gadchiroli.

Maharashtra: A major breakthrough has been achieved in the fight against Naxalism, with 11 CPI (Maoist) commanders and cadres surrendering to the Gadchiroli police on Wednesday. These Naxalites surrendered before Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla.
Besides Shukla, other top officials present included Additional DG (Special Operations) Chering Dorje, Deputy Inspector General (Gadchiroli Range) Ankit Goyal, Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Nilotpal, and the Deputy Inspector General (Operations) of the CRPF.
“This is the beginning of the end of Naxalism in Gadchiroli,” Shukla said.
She added, “We are committed to the March 31, 2026 deadline set by the central government for eliminating the threat of Naxalism from India.”
She further stated, “More than 100 Maoists have surrendered in Gadchiroli this year alone.”
