Couple commits suicide after love marriage, dead body found hanging on tree

Durg. A loving couple committed suicide in village Khudmuri of Patan block of Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Both the young man and the girl had left on bike carrying clothes from their respective homes. After this he hanged himself on a tree near Khudmuri. A bike was found parked at some distance from the spot, in which both of them had kept clothes. Patan police is investigating the matter. According to Patan police, the girl Draupadi Sahu was a resident of nearby village Jheet, while the boy is said to be Om Kumar, a resident of Khudmuri.

After going to the spot and seeing the things kept in the car, it seemed that both of them had left the house to go somewhere. The incident is said to have happened on Monday morning. According to the preliminary investigation of the police, both the young man and the girl loved each other, they also wanted to get married but due to family fear, they had probably decided to run away. At present the police is investigating the matter from every angle. The villagers were shocked by this incident which happened exactly on the day of Holi. It is said that both village Jheet and Khudmuri are nearby.
