Courtesy meeting of students of Surguja division with President
Raipur. Five students of Surguja, Jashpur, Surajpur and Balrampur districts of Surguja division met President Draupadi Murmu in the capital Delhi on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. On this occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan encouraged the children by taking information about their academic and other school activities. He wished everyone a bright future and wished them well. The students of Surguja division expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the administration for this unforgettable moment. The students were selected for meeting President Draupadi Murmu on the basis of their excellent performance in sports, music and other school activities along with their academic activities. The selected students included Jyoti, a student of Kasturba Residential School Lakhanpur from Surguja, Riya and Rajni Chauhan from Jashpur district, Nandini Kindo from Surajpur and Prashansha from Balrampur district. The state government selected superintendent Anuradha Singh as in-charge of the children of Sarguja division and sent her to Delhi.
While meeting the students, President Mrs. Murmu congratulated them on Rakshabandhan and explained the importance of Rakshabandhan festival and suggested them to make honest efforts to achieve their goals by taking information from the students about their studies and life goals. She took information from the students about the art and culture of Chhattisgarh, its natural beauty and other specialties. The students tied Rakhi to President Mrs. Murmu and also gave her gifts. The students were thrilled and excited to meet the President for the first time and visit important places of the country’s capital New Delhi.
The students of Sarguja division returned to Raipur yesterday. The students met MD Samagra Shiksha Sanjeev Jha and SCERT Director Rajendra Katara, Deputy Director Samagra Shiksha Rajesh Singh and other officials and shared the golden memories of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Delhi along with the experience of their first flight and thanked the top officials of the administration including Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for providing the opportunity. Senior officials also encouraged the children and motivated and encouraged them to perform excellently in academic as well as extra-curricular activities in the future.
