Cow protectors rescued cattle being taken to slaughterhouse on Vapi highway, three accused arrested
On the basis of the information received by the cow protectors, a truck loaded with cattle was chased for 1 km and caught on the Vapi highway. 11 cattle were found brutally stuffed in the truck. However, one calf was found dead. Police arrested two people including the driver. The cattle were being taken from Palanpur to Maharashtra slaughter house.

According to the information received from the police, on the basis of the information received, the cow protectors had kept a watch on the highway near Balitha in Vapi. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck (number GJ-02-ZZ-3102) going towards Mumbai was signaled to stop, the driver sped away at full speed. The cow vigilantes chased and stopped the truck near Rambo Hospital on Vapi Highway, after which they informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot.
Police has declared Raju Desai wanted
When the police checked the icer truck, they found that 9 cows and 2 calves were brutally crammed into the truck. However, one calf was found dead. When the police interrogated the driver, it was revealed that cattle were being manipulated without a permit. Police seized the cattle-laden tempo and arrested two accused Imtiyaz Mohammad Mir (age 37 years resident- Vadgam Banaskantha) and Ishwarji Keshaji Thakor (age 35 years resident- Siddhpur). In the interrogation of both the accused by the police, a person named Raju Desai was taking cattle from Palanpur to Maharashtra. Police has declared Raju Desai wanted. Police handed over Vapi-Rata Panjrapole to take care of the cattle.
According to the information, even after the state government has made strict laws regarding the smuggling of innocent cattle, the smuggling of innocent cattle is being done on a large scale by slaughterhouses through vehicles. In such a situation, the state government needs to take serious steps in this matter.
