Crackers worth Rs 3 lakh seized from pickup, interrogation of driver continues

Bilaspur: During checking of vehicles, police seized crackers worth more than Rs 3 lakh from a pickup, which were hidden in nine boxes among the bags of crunchy snacks. On receiving the information, Pachpedi police station in-charge Vivek Kumar Pandey stopped the pickup number CG 22 R 7864 at Manikchauri turn.

This train was going from Balodabazar to Malhar via Bhatchaura. Upon search, different types of firecrackers were found inside 9 cartoons in the possession of accused Ravi Nagwani, worth Rs 3 lakh 32 thousand 93. The accused could not present any kind of license letter. Action was taken against him under sections of the Explosives Act.
