Criminal escapes from police car

Muzaffarpur: In Muzaffarpur, Bihar, the police was taking a theft accused to jail when he suddenly jumped out of the van and ran away, dodging the police. There was panic among the police personnel after the criminal escaped. The police continued conducting raids to re-arrest the absconding criminal but he was not caught by the police.

It is said that the people of Gorigama village of Sakra police station had caught a thief red handed while stealing a mobile phone and beat him severely. On receiving information about the beating, the police reached the spot, freed him from the clutches of the people and took him into custody. The police presented him in the court today, after which on the orders of the court he was being taken to Shaheed Khudiram Bose Central Jail.

Meanwhile, he dodged the police at Saraiyaganj Tower Chowk of Nagar police station and jumped out of the police van and escaped. The thief was identified as Santosh Rajak of Kafen Turki of Bochahan police station area. Santosh has gone to jail in the year 2021 also on theft charges.

DSP East Sahiyar Akhtar said that he was being taken to jail on court orders on charges of theft when the thief managed to escape by jumping from the police van. Based on the statement of the police, an order has been given to register an FIR in the city police station. Police claim that absconding criminal Santosh Rajak will be arrested soon.
