Criminals ran away with uprooted ATM full of money, 14 lakhs had been deposited a day earlier, VIDEO
Ranchi: Criminals uprooted an ATM of Bank of India at Kasmar in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. Rs 14 lakh had been deposited in this ATM a day earlier. The incident happened on Sunday night. This ATM is located at Kamlapur on Bokaro-Ramgarh main road NH 23. There are no guards here.
A customer who reached the ATM on Monday morning noticed that the shutter was up and the ATM was missing. The customer informed the people nearby about this. The police station was also informed. After this, the police of Kasmar police station reached the spot and started investigation. To identify the thieves, the police is scanning the CCTV footage installed at nearby hotels and petrol pumps.
The police were told that the agency which had inserted the money in the ATM had put an amount of 14 lakhs in it a day earlier. Let us tell you that on July 27, criminals had uprooted an ATM of State Bank of India in Barhi police station area of Hazaribagh district. Earlier on January 18, thieves had stolen the ATM machine of HDFC Bank located on the main road side of Petwar market. In most of the incidents of uprooting ATMs, the hands of the police are still empty.
