Crown stolen from temple in Raipur, vicious thief arrested

Raipur. There were continuous complaints of theft of God’s crown in the temples of Maudhapara police station area of the capital Raipur. After which the local councilor installed CCTV cameras in the temples. The thief was not aware that CCTV cameras were installed. The thief reached a temple in Jorapara. He folded his hands before the Lord, then cleverly stole the silver crown.

This entire incident was captured in CCTV camera. After which when the thief arrived again the next day, people caught him. In this case, the members of the temple committee caught the thief and reached Maudhapara police station to lodge a complaint. However, this case has not been registered yet.

Social worker Manish Kumar Sahu, resident of Jorapara, said that crowns of Gods were being stolen from temples in this area continuously for the last 3 months. First of all, Satbahnia Temple and Shitala Temple were stolen. Then on Saturday, Barmadev Baba’s crown was stolen from Shri Barmadev Temple. But this time the entire incident was captured in CCTV cameras.
