CRPF Director General reviews security situation in Srinagar
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Sujoy Lal Thaosen today discussed the security situation in Srinagar city with senior officers of the paramilitary forces.
Taosen visited several areas of Srinagar and was briefed by senior paramilitary and Jammu and Kashmir Police officials about the prevailing security situation in the city.
He was given a detailed briefing about the situation in Srinagar city, where CRPF is deployed to maintain law and order and fight militancy.
The Director General was briefed about the challenges faced by the force and its achievements in countering insurgency and maintaining law and order. He was told that there is complete coordination between CRPF and other forces operating in Kashmir.
The senior police officer was also briefed about the programs of the paramilitary forces to involve the Kashmiri youth in various activities so that they do not become victims of the evil intentions of the enemy.
Thaosen appreciated the unwavering commitment of the armed forces working with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintain law, order and peace.
The officer instructed his soldiers to be friendly with the local people and help them to win their hearts and minds. He supported them to ensure that the public did not face any inconvenience in carrying out their duties.
