Customer reached court against petrol pump, got justice

Durg. The law has given rights to the common citizens. Similar rights are related to the consumer. In which if you buy something from a company, it is taken care that the company does not cheat the customers in its service. If the police does not listen to you in case of fraud, then you can approach the court. One such case came to the fore in Durg. The petrol pump operator had cheated his customer, whose complaint the police refused to register. But the victim got justice from the court.

There is Amit petrol pump near Maharaja Chowk in Padmanabhpur police station area. Ravi Shankar Mandalay was a regular customer of this pump. Ravi Shankar used to take petrol worth Rs 1010-1010 i.e. a total of Rs 3030 in his three vehicles daily. During this, the petrol pump collected 5 lakh 32 thousand rupees from Ravi Shankar Mandalay. But when Ravi Shankar matched the bill and the petrol put in the car, a discrepancy of Rs 1.5 lakh came to the fore.

When Ravi Shankar investigated, it was found that Yuvraj Mandle, who works in the petrol pump, and Ajay Mehra, the driver of the vehicle, had collected money from him by making fake bills. Even after checking the CCTV, the problem was confirmed. Ravishankar did not want controversy and asked for his money back. Then the petrol pump operator, accepting the mistake, said to give the money in two days. But two days later, on the contrary, a complaint of fraud against Ravi Shankar was made to the police.

When the complaint was not registered in Padmanabhpur police station, the victim presented a complaint in the court with the help of a lawyer. Looking at all the evidence, the court ruled against the petrol pump under section 156 (3). Ordered to register offenses under sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 34 against both the employees.
