Cyclone likely in Bay of Bengal on January 3, check details
Bhubaneswar: Another low pressure area is likely in the first week of January, 2025. Accordingly, a cyclone is likely to form in the southeast Bay of Bengal on January 3. According to preliminary estimates, it will intensify further.
As per weather forecast, weather will remain dry for a week now. Of course, it will be partly cloudy in some places in south and west Odisha between December 28 and 31.
The western cyclone is not likely to have much impact. However, there may be rain in some places in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts on December 28.
Similarly, there is a possibility of rain in some places of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Sundergarh districts on December 29.
In the last 24 hours, there has been heavy rainfall in the state, while the night temperature in Koraput was recorded at 12.4 degrees.
Similarly, Daringbadi recorded 13.5 degrees C, Khurda 14.5 degrees C, Kendrapara 14.8 degrees C and Bhubaneswar 18.4 degrees Celsius.
It has been predicted that there is no possibility of any significant change in the night temperature for the next five days. However, by the beginning of January, the night temperature is likely to drop below 10 degrees C in many places of the State.
