Chennai: In view of Cyclonic Storm Michong, the Tamil Nadu government has declared Tuesday, December 5, 2023, as a public holiday in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts. The public holiday is declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
All schools, colleges, educational institutions and government offices including offices of PSUs/Corporations, Boards, Banks and Financial Institutions in the four districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu will remain closed due to inclement weather conditions.
