Dates to be announced soon, State Election Commissioner apprised Governor Deka of activities related to Nagar Panchayat elections
Raipur. Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh made a courtesy call on Governor Ramen Deka at Raj Bhavan here today. He apprised the Governor about the activities of urban and panchayat elections. Let us tell you that civic elections in Chhattisgarh will be conducted with ballot papers.
Deputy CM Arun Saw said that EVM will not be used in civic elections. Civic elections will be conducted with ballot papers. The government has decided to use ballot papers only. This is being done because of more candidates.
On the other hand, Congress leader Sushil Anand Shukla said that BJP is afraid of going to the elections. The government does not have the courage to face the public. It is constantly making excuses. First the ordinance and now the process of reservation of Panchayat Presidents and Mayors has been taken forward. The public is angry with the work of the government.
