Thane: After a video of a daughter-in-law beating her elderly mother-in-law went viral on social media in Thane, Maharashtra, the police have registered a case against the accused daughter-in-law. In the viral video, it can be seen that the woman comes to her mother-in-law sitting on the sofa and then signals her to come inside.
When the mother-in-law refuses to go inside, the daughter-in-law starts forcing herself. When the elderly woman tries to defend herself, her daughter-in-law slaps her. After this the woman opens the door of her house and asks her mother-in-law to leave the house.
After this the woman comes to the elderly mother-in-law and makes her fall on the floor. The daughter-in-law then tries to drag her mother-in-law out of the house. It can be seen in the viral video that during this time another woman is standing inside the kitchen and keeps watching the brutality being done by her daughter-in-law. The woman makes no attempt to intervene.
Seeing the video, it is being estimated that the woman is a maid working at home. After this the woman gets a call from someone. The woman talks on the phone for a few seconds and then comes back to her mother-in-law and starts forcing herself again.
Tries to drag the woman out of the house. It is clearly visible in the video that after failing, the woman sits on the sofa and starts shouting loudly at her mother-in-law.
After the video went viral, a case has been registered against the woman in Kopri police station under sections 336, 337, 323, 504, 506 of IPC. However, no official statement has been issued by the police yet in this matter. Nor is it known who this woman is and why she is doing such brutality to her elderly mother-in-law.
